2022 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Venue: Annual OEVA Meeting
Dear Old Englewood Village Association (OEVA) Members.
On January 10th, at The Open Studio located at 380 Old Englewood Road, in Englewood FL, the OEVA will be holding its Annual Meeting in accordance with their By-laws and Policy & Procedures (attached) which are also posted in the Organizational Documents section at the bottom of the OEVA web site located at: www.OldEnglewood.com.
At that meeting the President, Vice President or a designated Officer or Director shall submit a report to the Members as to the business transacted during the preceding year, a budget for the upcoming year, a report of the general financial condition of OEVA, and other pertinent information.
Next, nominations will be accepted for three Director seats. Seat #4 is currently held by Todd Tracy. Seat #5 is currently held by Evelyn Dales. Seat #6 is currently held by Robert Reil. Per the rules in the Policy and Procedures, only Directors having served less than two consecutive three-year terms of office, in good standing with their annual dues paid and at least one year of membership, and General Members, in good standing, with their annual dues paid and at least one year of membership, can be nominated for the office of Director.
Nominees will be offered the opportunity to address the gathering if they chose too. Nominees need not be present to be nominated but they must be aware of and accept their nomination. The intent of the qualifications is to ensure that duly elected Directors are active and knowledgeable members of OEVA before taking office.
Each nominee for a specific seat, will be voted on, by the Directors and the General Members. Non dues paying Associate Members, nor the public, are allowed to vote by rule for the Directors. By majority vote the winning nominee for a specific seat, will be elected as a director to a three-year term of office; effective immediately. After the three seats are filled, the Board of Directors will nominate and vote for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The meeting is also intended to be a Town Hall of sorts, where questions, answers, goals, and visions for new year can be shared. We hope you’ll be able to attend.
Additional notices will be sent to keep you informed.
Thank you.
Todd Tracy, Secretary, OEVA.
